sometimes i feel like going back to the days before

ninety-five days ago. before i became 'legal'.

no, not because i feel old. (wait, maybe i do)

one superbly random reason?

i don't have to 'lie' about my age

everytime a telemarketer calls asking

"do you happen to be over the age of eighteen?"

i once replied them saying,

" oh i'm sorry, there's no one here that's over

the age of eighteen and available to talk to you."

see, i didn't lie. i wasn't available. really :S

it worked anyway.

he put the phone down on me! :(

telemarketers. such funny people.

ooh, i once faked that i couldn't hear her on the line.

she saw through it and said

"well, i think you're just RUDE!"

laughs. i hung up after that :X

anyway, i think almost eighteen is a really good age to be at :)

at eighteen,

u get the so called good stuff like :

u get to buy booze and whatever not

gain access into casinos for really cheap fish and chips

u get to live independently without a 'guardian'

but you also get:

`'harassed' by telemarketers

`no more "i'm only 17" reason to not attend some event (or do something)

that you really don't want to go to (do)

`people don't coddle u so much too.. special treatment :) haha

`ur expected to 'know' what's going on

`ur legally bound by whatever nonsense u agree/signed to

melbourne weather is such:

it was 33 degrees yesterday.

i woke up to thunder and lightning this morning.

with a low of 14 degrees

where else do you get a 19 degree jump within 24 hours?!

it took me 2 hours to print 40 or so pages.

after getting my student diary i explored The Spot.
i am so loving the new commerce building!

there's a study area for almost all the floors

and they are all fitted with a pantry, vending machines,

sofas, study desks, computer desks...

i gave up after climbing to the 7th floor
and after some people gave me really weird looks
wondering what on earth i was doing in the
Graduate School/Staff sections of the building.
hah. i plan to explore floors 8-12 on wednesday :P

there's a whole floor of computer lab tutorial classes!
i'm talking hundreds of computers with big comfy chairs...O.O
there's another floor of computers above that floor for general use.

oooh. i peeked into a mini lecture theatre! it's fully fitted with long tables
and the kind of chairs u expect to see in some manager's office!
i'm so dissapointed i don't have a single lecture in there :(

it's late. i'm tired.
and i have a massive crick
stretching from the back of my right shoulder up to my neck
i think i twisted it while unpacking/clearing stuff under my table.

phooey,
i've been "unpacking" for the past eight hours.
you'd think i'll be done long longgg ago.
i get too distracted.

2 hours of preparing to unpack
3 hours of playing/decorating with the stuff in the boxes
2.5 hours of "rest", stoning, internet, toilet-ing...
that leaves 1/2 hour of proper unpacking done

i'm so happy that my faculty has decided to be oh-so-kind to us
by changing the 11am lecture to a flippin' 8am lecture!
i cannot imagine trudging around in the dark before 8am.
whyyy would they increase the temptation of skipping lectures?!
i don't get it. mumbles.grumbles. poor lecturer O.o
